I’m Susweta Bhattacharya, co-founder and artist at Colour Core Tattoos, where I specialize in Colour Realism, Illustration, Fineline, and Portrait tattoos. My work is deeply rooted in a love for vibrant colors and intricate details, whether it’s on canvas or skin, blending traditional painting techniques with contemporary tattoo artistry to create pieces that are both expressive and lifelike.
I was born and raised in Subhashgram village, West Bengal, in a family of idol makers. Growing up surrounded by mud threads, molds and colors, I developed a fascination for crafting and experimenting with different mediums, which laid the foundation for my artistic journey.
I pursued my passion formally and completed a BFA in Western Painting in 2017, and I continue to love working with oil and acrylic paints, which influence and inform my tattoo practice. My specialization in Color Realism and Portraits allows me to bring every client’s story to life with precision and emotion.
I’m honored to have been recognized by The Calcutta Times as one of the best female tattoo artists in India, an acknowledgment that motivates me to keep pushing the boundaries of my craft. Every piece I create is a blend of storytelling, color, and detail—a reflection of my journey from traditional art to contemporary tattooing.
